Author Visits
Presentations available for Pre-K to 6th grade include a discussion of Screens Away, Time to Play and a peek into the book-writing process.
Students will also learn how their brains grow best through Let's Grow Brain P.O.W.E.R.!

Family Nights
These are a fun, hands-on way to grow Brain P.O.W.E.R. together! I’ll kick things off with a short talk for kids and parents about how brains grow best—through play, movement, and connection.
Then, choose your favorite family activity to follow:
- Science Centers - Hands-on activities from my science book, perfect for toddlers through tweens.
- Creation Station - Just add cardboard! I’ll bring kid-safe tools to fuel imagination and build as a family.
- Game Night - Unplug and connect with simple, screen-free games for all ages.
Parent Nights
This encouraging and practical session helps parents move beyond screen-time guilt and toward real solutions.
They’ll learn how Let’s Grow Brain P.O.W.E.R. offers a positive, doable path forward—one that helps kids thrive through play, creativity, and connection. Walk away with simple ideas and a renewed sense of confidence.
Professional Development
Early childhood educators will learn about brain growth and how excessive screen time can interfere with critical developmental activities.
They will also get many ideas for simple, low-cost activites to encourage hands-on learning.
